CNC MILLING
CED has two horizontal machining centers: a Mazak HCN-5000 and a Mazak PFH-4800 along with 1 Mazak V414-32 machining center. Both horizontal machining centers include four-sided tombstones and are fourth axis CNC's. All milling centers are equipped with touch probes which allow for accuracy, consistency and faster set-up even on odd shaped castings and flame-cut parts. The through tool coolant aides in longer tool life reducing overall cost.

CNC TURNING
For turning needs CED is equipped with a Mazak QTN-200 MSY multi-spindle center with a y-axis and a Mazak SQT-250MS turning center with live tooling and a sub-spindle. This machine, coupled with an Iemca automatic bar feeder, allows "lights out" operations. The live tooling turning center eliminates the need for multiple set-ups decreasing overall cost and set-up time. A Mazak Quick Turn 8 turning center is in house for smaller turning operations.

SECONDARY OPERATIONS
CED is also equipped with an Amada HA250W automatic production band saw, manual mills/lathes, a glass bead blaster and 2 vibratory debur machines. In-house equipment keeps our prices competitive and allows for timely delivery. Operations such as plating, heat treating and anodizing will be handled by qualified sources.

CUSTOM WATERJET
Waterjet capabilities at CED include a Flow Mach 4 Integrated Dynamic XD Waterjet System. This 5 axis machine includes a dynamic head for advanced beveling and 3D capabilities allowing the ultimate in accuracy, speed and flexibility. Parts can come out of this machine with no secondary operations needed. The waterjet can cut any material and the dynamic head automatically compensates for the natural taper to ensure a straight edge throughout the thickness of the cut. Check out this link for a sample of what this machine can do.
